Brad, you loved living. It was obvious while you were taking pictures, enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch, telling a story or joke, creating web pages and programs, pulling wagonfuls of children (sometimes overvlarge balls), making up poems, removing stumps, playing goal post and kablooey, and arm dancing while driving down the road. Brad, you never gave just some if yourself. I praise God that we were blessed with you in our lives.##imported-begin##Dee Dee Slaterbeck##imported-end##

Dear Nita and all of your family,
We are so sorry that Brad's cancer took his life from all of you and all of us who also loved him. We were in awe of the courage displayed by both of you during a very difficult time. Many decisions had to be made in a short period of time but Brad was a planner and made sure that anything that he could control was taken care of. We will miss him.
Our love to all of you, Bill and Sandy##imported-begin##Bill and Sandy Tompkins##imported-end##
My appointments at radiation oncology at Fairfax Hospital coincided with Brad's for about a month. He was amazingly cheerful, always smiling and joking and somehow turning the treatments into an adventure. Nita came with him to every appointment and their obvious love and devotion to each other was another positive. It was a special man who could spread joy in such an environment. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and those who were lucky enough to be loved by him.##imported-begin##Darlene Gardner##imported-end##
You were a unique and special man. I was always proud to be "on your arm." We had a special bond and relationship that few will ever know. You were an inspiration to us all, and you will remain in my heart, and those of others, forever. How I miss you. You will never be forgotten, and your spirit is going to shine through me and those that loved you. I am already seeing our grandchildren carry on with your teachings.##imported-begin##Nita##imported-end##
Brad was a schoolmate back to elementary school in Mattapoisett, Mass. and through high school. His life was a successful and productive example of public service. The last part of his life, living bravely with cancer, was an inspiration and it taught me something important. I feel rewarded for having met him again at the end of his journey.##imported-begin##Thomas Renahan##imported-end##
