I worked for Frank at the Farm Credit Administration in the late 1980's. He supported my career and promoted me to the General Counsel position, in the Senior Executive Service. This was a time when not many women held high-level jobs. I was grateful for his support. He worked incredibly hard to help the Farm Credit System cope with the looming agricultural credit crisis -- a true public servant!
My condolences on the loss of your beloved husband, Marilyn. May your entire family be consoled by the many memories of his enthusiasm for life and his loving care of each of you.

Frank was a founding member of our Couplets Book Club which met at members’ houses for great dinners and wine and laughter...and even some discussion of the chosen book. My husband Neil and I have truly valued our friendship with Frank over the last years, his kindness, and world knowledge, and love of gardens, family, friends and dear wife Marilyn.

I was saddened to read of Brother Naylor's passing, and my thoughts & prayers go out to his family, friends & SigEp chapter brothers at the University of Kansas. He sounds like quite the leader, and someone I would have enjoyed working with. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Frank, I pledge that the SigEp Patriots Project will always remember him, his life & his patriotic service. Rest easy Shipmate. We have the watch.

Frank Naylor has a very big place in my heart and will continue to do so. He and Marilyn took me in when I was a cancer patient coming from Kenya to be treated at the University of Virginia in the fall of 2009. As I had to return for continued treatment in February 2010 Frank very graciously extended his hospitality for another period of time until I graduated to the watchful waiting list. I pray to Frank and Marilyn every day thanking them for their "pure generosity in my hour of great need". Frank will always remain in my prayers. All my condoleances to his family especially Marilyn. I came to know Frank when I was assisting USAID/Ukraine in the development of an agribusiness program. As a member of the team, Frank's professional advice and pragmatic ideas impressed everyone. He quickly gained the respect of all of the team members. I am sure his loss will be felt by everyone who knew him.
