Big John, a great friend with a big heart, I mean huge heart, I miss him already.
John had a way of finding strays, he seamed to attract them. I met John in 1991 and he took me in, under his wing, if I needed something John would find it for me, If I needed help John was there, not some of the time but all the time. He always thought of others first. I'm pretty sure John had the world record for having the biggest heart.
John wasn't bashful, he was the opposite of bashful, he would go out of his way to get to know you. He was the life of the party, correction he was the party, and it usually didn't start until he got there and it was over when he left. He had a love for life, he loved adventure and was always up for a road trip. He was that friend that kept in touch not the friend that you might get a Christmas card from once a year, he was the friend that dropped by to say hi and to just see how you were doing.
Not only was he the greatest friend you could have. He was a loving husband, a caring father, granddad and great grand dad. Anyone who had the privilege to know him will never forget him and will miss him greatly.
Rest in peace old friend.
