My children and my family were neighbors in St.Louis VA. to the Mudds....Mr. Russell Sr. & Mrs. Theresa, baby sit my children, so all of the Mudd children and Smith children were raised up together all thru Elementary/High School.. This was the most beautiful Family I know. They were and still a part of my heart...Rest in Paradise Lil' Russell, you will be missed....

I met Russell in middle school. We became instant life long friends. He was the person that lit up the room and made you smile. Over the years we would run into each other in Leesburg and play catch up. He rarely called me by my first name, it was always "Mallory", how the heck are ya! My deepest sympathy to the family on your loss of your brother, uncle, friend. Russell will be greatly missed. Ellen Mallory
Growing up with Russell and his family in Hamilton, VA, we had some great times and adventures as members of that small and close knit community. One of the fond memories I had of Russell during our times in Hamilton was Russell's singing ability. I could hear Russell singing way before I he actually appeared in view. I will always remember the times I had with Russell and his siblings while growing up in Hamilton. My prayers go out to Russell's family as they go through this time of bereavement.

I went to school with Russell. He was always making everyone smile. He loved people, and wanted to make sure everyone was having a good day. He will truly be missed. Sending hugs and prayers to the whole family.
