Alexander Daniel Stiles, 19 of Sterling, Virginia passed on Monday, April 18, 2022. Alex was born Friday, November 8, 2002 in Olney, Maryland. A graduate of Potomac Falls High School, class of 2021; Alex was attending his second Read Obituary
Three years ago Alex was one of my Biology students and I always had to comment on his awesome shoes and ever present smile when he walked into the classroom. He was a wonderful student and part of a very fun class. My son had the pleasure of playing flag football with him for two seasons and my daughter enjoyed being in Algebra 2 class with him as well as singing in the Jazz Choir with him. Alex was funny, sweet and will surely be miss. My sincere condolences to his family and friends as they mourn his loss.
When I think of Alex, these words come to mind: Sometimes we are blessed with time in the very presence of the Holy Spirit, as the spirit is "God-breathed." Alex welcomed the young and the old alike. He took the time to listen to you and focus on you. He had that charming smile that made you feel that this was more than a meeting. "You sense it, you see it through the person's eyes. The years feel like moments and too soon the Spirit departs.
Why must the most special of souls leave this earth so soon?
Because angels fly,
they must fly!"

I remember when he came over to my house and got stung twice on his ear by wasps. I remember playing outside and rolling down grassy hills with him. I remember how he would like to be hugged by a girl so I would tackle him to the ground when we were younger. I remember in elementary school he would have jelly sandwiches as some tables didn’t allow peanut butter. I remember in fifth grade he had an Afro growing contest with another kid. It was around school picture time so his fifth grade picture he had really fluffy hair. I remember how in seventh grade we shared P.E together and how he let me win a game of knock out as I still am not the best at basketball. I remember how in eighth grade he sat behind be in science and would sing under his breath with the kid sitting next to him. I remember him being in my chemistry class and in my lab group. He was probably the smartest kid in that class and helped me out so many times during the labs.
One thing all of these memories have in common is that he was just a good kid. From when he was in elementary school all the way through high school. He remained the nicest, kindest, most caring kid in the school. I really admire that about him. Not many kids in school were the nice so it was refreshing to have him be chill and caring.
I will never forget how good he made me feel every time we saw each other, especially while he was working at Claude Moore. Teenager boys don't always want to speak to adults their parents know, but Alex never had any hesitation in speaking to me. He would even stand up in the guard chair and wave at me just to make sure we didn't miss each other. Alex was a truly special young man and he will be deeply missed. I hope the good memories you all have of him will bring you some comfort. Love from the Belogays
