Anna L. Mock October 10, 1927 – June 6, 2013 With the very dignity and grace she displayed throughout her life, Anna L. Mock age 85 peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013, in South Bend, Indiana. Born in Brunswick, Mary Read Obituary

I am saddened to learn of Anna's passing. My memories of her will remain with me. She was truly one of the sweetest people. I worked alongside of her while working with Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging. She was an energetic, cheerful and as friendly as anyone could be. Her smile stayed in a room long after she left it. All who knew her have had their lives enriched.

I truly treasure the time that I got to spend with my dear friend Anna Mock. We spent 5 afternoons a week for 2 and a half years just enjoying each other's company. Our conversations were very interesting. She loved to tell me about her romance with Richard and how it started because she allowed him to tutor her in Math. She'd say "He always brought his brother along to make it look respectable". She loved to look at pictures and tell me all about her family's vacations to Wildwood NJ and how she burned very easily in the Sun. She loved to talk about her upbringing in Brunswick MD. One day I surprised her and we took a drive to Brunswick and we found her old house and old church which had been turned into a cafe. We had lunch there and as we ate we discovered some old church logs and journals in the window sill. We read and found her sister's names in them. It was such an amazing trip down memory lane for her. We would make our regular trips to Roy Rogers. That woman could eat a plain cheeseburger and fries like a teenager and never gain any weight. She shared a lot of personal and some painful things with me that we prayed about together. I felt that God brought us together at that time in our lives because we needed each other. She was also an amazing listener. She told me I was like a daughter to her. When she relocated to Indiana there was a hole left in my heart. I am thrilled to know that you and Richard are finally reunited in God's heaven and I will see you again there Ms Anna.
Much love, Gloria Underwood
