Danette- I’m sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. While it’s been many years, I can still remember how much I enjoyed speaking with him on numerous occasions. He was such a nice man. My sympathy to you and your mom.

Dapper Dan selling a chainsaw and going for a ride in a new hot rod Challenger, that's the Dan I will remember. Dan and me had some great times. We've both been accused of being story tellers and Dan had a ton of stories. He'd call me whippersnapper and I'd call him ole timer, we had a ball with the nicknames. He'd say Tom your a bad man, I'd say you got that right Dapper Dan and we'd both laugh. Stories on top of stories throughout the years. I don't think there was a subject he and I didn't talk about at one time or another. I learned a awful lot from him, he was well educated and wise. I could always pick up a pointer or two from him. He could tell a good joke as well. He lived life to the fullest and I'm certain he had no regrets.
When his health began to fail and he was pretty much home bound he would call me and we'd cut up on the phone. We had a lot of laughs for sure. We still have unfinished business, Dan and me, and one day I intend to finish that business. Dan I know you are peeking at this, practice your checker game ole timer because even though you done gone ahead of me I'll be coming along one of these days. I expect to find you sitting at the checker board ready to go and this time we can play as long as we want. Till then I'm gonna miss you ole buddy..
Ann & Danette...I am so sorry for your loss and am lifting up prayers for you during this difficult time.
