Uncle Bud was a kind, gentle man and my father's best friend since childhood. He was a part of the greatest generation. I feel lucky to have known him.
I worked with Bud when we both were employees of TRW. My husband is also a graduate of West Point. Bud shared with me pictures of a daugher's wedding because he knew that I travelled out to Colorado and the west and how much I loved it. He was such a gentleman.... I also was gifted with a wonderful book that his wife Nancy wrote about their time in the mid-east. My husband was travelling through the Iran and Lebanon during that time, so of course we found it very interesting. Bud was a gentleman that everyone liked, and I believe a true son of West Point, not just by birth, but how he conducted himself over the years. He was someone everyone liked, and certainly I was among his followers. When you meet someone you can trust, and you could trust Bud, you treasure and remember that friendship. Well done, Bud.... RIP
