JANE T. MILEY, age 79 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Sunday 12, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born Friday, November 19, 1943 in Raleigh, NC, Jane was the daughter of the late Hubert and Virginia Teal. Jane Read Obituary
Jane and I worked together at BAE where we became friends. She was a smart classy woman. We shared a love for music and I’ll cherish our light dinners and classics at the Library of Congress. She loved having her daughters and granddaughter so near. Such a dear lady and loving family! My heart is with you all.
Margaret and Sarah- Barbara and I are sorry that we will be unable to attend your mother’s memorial service on Friday to recognize and celebrate what a fine person she was. I remember her as tough, not meaning not gentle, but with a strength and firmness of character and conviction. And a truth teller. I wish I could capture her colorful and pointed message about my brother Charles – to the effect that Charles wouldn’t tell you that you looked good in those skinny jeans when you did not. She exemplified that that insightfulness and frankness.

I will always remember Jane’s grace and kindness. She made everyone feel at home in her presence. I will miss our conversations. No matter the topic, she always had keen insights. She will be greatly missed.

I met Jane through our mutual love of health. She was a fascinating person, so loving and genuine. She always loved talking of her children and especially her grand daughter.

She helped raise me. Helped feed me and listened to Sarah and I blabber on about our countless stories. I remember helping her in the kitchen and trying to do my best to pitch in to clean up afterwards. All the baking!! I appreciated her love and care so much.
