To the family of my dear friend and co-partner at work. Larry was truly a giant of a friend. He had a heart of gold, warm smile and told the best stories. We enjoyed talking about our families and especially the grandchildren and great grands.
He would say to me he was my brother from another mother. I will keep my memories of him in my heart forever.
May God continue to strengthen you and keep you during this difficult time.

He was my favorite uncle. Loved him so much. Loved his stories. Looked so much like grandpa. Cecil, Deb & Emily love you. Wish I could help with your sorrow. Love, Melissa
I met Larry later in his life thru the Coast Guard, where we both worked. We ended up becoming carpool mates driving into DC from Ashburn all the time for the good part of a decade. Countless hours of commuting, traffic, waking up early, beating the rush…nothing anyone would consider fun. But riding with Larry and our other carpool members made it fun. We shared all sorts of stories from our lives, talked about current events in the news, and kept everyone up to date on how our families were doing. Larry was a special man who I was proud to consider a friend. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so jovial and brimming with life, let alone at 70+ years old and beyond. I will cherish the memories made with Larry and want to express my condolences to his family. He had a great journey on this Earth, be proud!
Love,
Michael Strausser
PS I unfortunately will be out of town for the ceremony but really wish I could be there.
