My darling brother I miss you every single day so very much I promise I will bring daddy to you as soon as I can I love you my Chippy!

Chip and I met up while working together for a naval agency based in Dahlgren, Virginia, smack on the Potomac River on the Virginia-Maryland frontier, and we remained friends thereafter. When he would visit me at my then Fredericksburg, Virginia, home, we loved sipping single malt scotch while listening to Sinatra and Jobim (Antonio Carlos Jobim), and laughing like two hyenas regarding old horrendous and outrageous work stories and stories from his exciting overseas adventures in the Navy. The love of his life was his three sons and their lives, and his family, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, and friends. He is and will be sorely missed until we meet up again. R.I.P. dear friend and all condolences to his family and friends many who love him dearly. When I last saw him, he told me to come out to his car, that there was something he had to play for me, something that I had likely never heard before. It turned out to be a rare, very early recording of Frank Sinatra singing, "God Bless America." That was Chip... Until we meet up again, dear friend, take your well deserved rest.()
Dr. Donald G. Boudreau a/k/a Doc (Chip's nickname for me)

I have known Chip and his family since we were 16. His smile and good nature were the hallmark of his personality as was his sense of humor.
When he was in town during his Navy years he would touch base if in the area, often he visited his grandparents in Va. Beach; he loved them dearly and they him. As young men we enjoyed each others company simply chatting about anything and everything.
When Becky, my kids and her parents met Chip, they fell in love with this great guy. My father in law who is sometimes grumpy, enjoyed Chips company very much as did my mother in law. Becky and Chip forged a special friendship as well and my kids called him “Uncle Chip”; something I was proud to hear. He popped in one day as I was bringing a puppy home, we both pulled in the driveway at the same time. He took the puppy and rang the doorbell as I hid. You should have seen the smiles on Kyle and Catherine’s face when they saw Uncle Chip holding “Cody”, it was awesome.
Given his Naval intelligence work, he came in and out of my life from the time he joined the Navy. Regardless of the years or time that had passed we picked up where we left off as though it was the day before. True friendship is like that versus casual acquaintances. We enjoyed many teenage times and that didn’t change through current time.
In summary Chip was a true friend, a wonderful devoted father and amazing son. His passion for life and his drive to be there for his sons was clear to anyone that met or knew him. As proud as he was to have served in the Navy, raising 3 young men brought the greatest joy to him. When Sean met you he had such a big smile on his face and was so anxious for Becky and I to know more about you as he loved you dearly and was so happy the two of you found each other. He was elated when your daughter arrived bringing even more joy to his life.
I write this note to you in a somber state as for the first time I now realize he won’t be dropping by unexpectedly as he has all these years.

Chip and I go way back to the high school years when a group of us that worked at Woodies at Tyson's Corner became close friends! When he enlisted in the Navy he would always bunk at my apartment when he was on leave. He was a groomsman at Laura and my wedding in 1983. Over the years we didn't see each other nearly enough but we managed to occasionally connect and catch up. He loved his boys and his family and was excited about being a grandpa!! Chip, my friend, you will be sorely missed!!!
To his family, Laura and I are so sorry for your loss and are praying for you during this difficult time.
