Roger and I were in same classes together our senior year, 1968 at Lee High School, Springfield VA. What a funny, great to know guy. Whenever we saw each other, he'd go in a great stutter..."B-B-B-BOB, B-B-B-BOB, B-B-BOB"! I in turn, or maybe being first half the time would put my best raspy voice on with..".ROGAH, ROGAH, ROGAH!", sometimes with a stutter, sometimes not. We sounded like a couple of crickets or cicadas or some other colony of bugs. Mrs Brandt, our teacher in Public Speaking, would just shake her head I think, in disgust.
Although losing contact with Roger many years ago, I will always treasure the great memories of a great personality that kept people in stitches with laughter. May the family know that Roger was loved so much by all of us whose lives he touched.
