Roy was one of the first men I met when I moved to Lucketts. He was always open, honest and generous, the true marks of a good man. He shared everything that had... stories, local history, and vegitables from his garden. Roy was my first baseball coach in 1987. He had so much love for all the kids that played. He could tell you how many times you got hit by a pitch and how many hits you had for many years later. He remembered every kid he coached. Roy would tell us before every game that you can get beat by any team on any given day but to be sure you played your best every time. And I was taken back to Lucketts Little League- Cardinals and Yankees you were my coach for both,to making hay for cousin Lloyd with you with and some other good men I looked up to,and to all the times you shared your property with myself,Ricky and other friends . I remember summers that I spent with my Aunt Betty Jo and Uncle Jim going to Roy's for picnic's and he even took Robin and me to meet Joe Theisman for our 16th and 18th Birthdays. We also went to Richards baseball games those few summers. I am so sorry Roy that you are gone you will be truely missed.
