TINA APRIL STRIDER Wife to Darin and Mother to Fiona Daughter to John and Shari Sister to Jenica Aunt to Ava-Gale, Charlotte, Brandon, Carrie, Kyle, Ellen, Nathan, Desmond Niece to William, Connie, and Lori Tina Late morning, April 10, 1977, we were blessed to bring our first daughter into the world. Mom had begun labor after supper the previous day which was Easter Sunday. We often called her our own little Easter bunny. Always precocious, she brought so much joy over the years to all of us who knew her. Sharp humor, insight, common sense and determination were some of her defining traits. She valued family and responsibility. She believed in doing the right thing for the right reasons. She held herself to the same standards she expected from others; perhaps more so. Tina couldn’t wait to get to high school, then CU Boulder and then the world. She quickly adapted to the World Bank workplace and on her own got her MBA in Finance. When Freddie Mac came calling, she tackled the opportunity with her typical flare. She always discussed her work team members with respect and did her best for them as they performed for her. We are left with a beautiful but incomplete experience as she has left us far too soon. I will always remember her saying as a little girl, “you be happy with me!” I think those words are just as true today for us to celebrate her short but meaningful life. She will always want the best for Fiona, Darin and the rest of us. Be at peace my darling daughter, Tina April DAD
