Amanda Geary Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Amanda Marie Geary, 34, of Leesburg VA, lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 21. Amanda was born on June 30, 1988, in Salisbury MD. She attended James M Bennett High and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. One week after graduation, she married the love of her life, Herbert Jackson Geary IV, and they had 2 beautiful children together. She worked for Wildfire Restaurant for over 12 years, where she was the Special Events Manager. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Amanda. She loved hosting an evening with friends and family with a glass of her favorite wine in hand. She had the best sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on your face with her witty one-liners. In true Amanda fashion, her humor stayed with her until the very end. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Capitals fan and enjoyed attending games with family and friends. Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Herby, and their two beloved children, Jackson and Addison, her parents, Lou and Renee Rascona, her sister, Melissa Bohn and her husband Nick and their son Parker, and her sister, Rachel. She also leaves behind many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30 at 1:30 pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury MD. Family visitation will begin 1 hour before the service.
