BRODY ALEXANDER WATSON

March 25, 2009 - February 24, 2022

BRODY ALEXANDER WATSON, 12 of Aldie, Virginia passed on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Born Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Lansdowne, Virginia; a 7th grader at Willard Middle School. A strong kind, athletic and adventurous young man affectionately known as Big “B”. Brody lived each day to the fullest and enjoyed many passions; including, basketball, tackle football and many other sports. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtic, the Yankees, but most of all the North Carolina Tar Heels. Brody enjoyed being outdoors and the fresh open air; whether it was in the woods, at the beach, surfing, riding the waves, fishing, vacationing to the outer banks, or hunting; as long as he was with his twin brother and friends. He and his twin brother Avery also enjoyed riding dirt bikes. Brody always wanted to build the ramps higher and had no fear of them. He also loved learning and working on cars, trucks and dirt bikes with his Dad, and Granddaddy. Brody was very creative and enjoyed drawing cars, barns, houses and fences that reminded him of the country. He had an ear for music and started playing guitar. He especially loved country music and most notably, Morgan Wallen. For Brody, wearing a T-shirt and shorts was fine, but jeans and his cowboy boots really made him light up. Brody’s memory will live on in those who love him, including his parents, Ashley and Wendy Watson; his twin brother, Avery Charles Watson, paternal grandparents, Charlie and Nettie Watson, maternal grandfather, Richard Spatz, and Helen and grandmother, Vicky and John McClure; Uncle David and Aunt Denise Watson; the family pets, Roxy and Bentley and other family and friends. Memorial services will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Gateway Community Church located at 42350 Tall Cedars Parkway, Chantilly, Virginia 20152. Those who are unable to attend and wish to view the memorial service through live-stream may do so with the following link for the Memorial Service at 3pm, https://vimeo.com/event/1912459/9369bc5952 A time for sharing to celebrate Brody’s life will follow the memorial from 4 to 6 pm at the church. https://gatewaychurch.org/ THE FAMILY REQUESTS: THAT FRIENDS WEAR TAR HEEL BLUE, (one of Brody’s favorite teams); A TEAM JERSEY FROM ONE OF THE TEAMS YOU PLAYED ON WITH BRODY; OR YOUR SCHOOLS SPIRIT WEAR TO HONOR BRODY.
