Kevin taught me, through decades of letting me into his world, what kind of attention and education my daughter (who he always said reminded him of himself as a child so accurately) would best benefit from. I hope I can do what he believed I could, as far as parenting goes... so she can best express and harness the potential he saw in her. We will do our best to be ourselves every day. I (we) met Kevin at Lisner Auditorium in D.C.-he was working with his father (an organ concert).
He was so young, so smart and charming and enthusiastic; we at National adopted him immediately. He worked with us for years until he inevitably moved on into his complex vocation, but always stayed in touch, indeed, when Tommy Linthicum, passed Kevin assembled a video montage that touched everyone- it so perfectly captured Tommy's incredible career.
RIP, beautiful soul. I will always miss you, beautiful child.
Suffer the children
they suffer the most
they see it all and struggle and finally
they give up the ghost
They suffer…
the children
Suffer the children
little ones…moving about
believe you, believe me, believing until
there is no way out
They suffer…
the children
Suffer the children and everyone
children all
pride-sometimes we are not humble
to the end…we stumble we
fall
we remember someone once
said it all:
dreaming He said, listen-He said
stop…He said
“suffer the little children”
Suffer the children
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
