Bill was such a beautiful person and a blessing to others. So sad to hear this news. I just say Bill in June and he was his smiling self. I will truly miss seeing him. He always had a way of making people smile. God's light came through him and his spirit, and his gentle heart. God bless Bill and loved ones.
Condolences from the Crabbe family to the Steeper family. Mr. Steeper was an avid supporter of Erin. He was at all of our games cheering loudly. I’ll miss you sir.
Bill was always willing to help out. All the times we spend working on the pipe steam and the conversations that where had will always be remembered. He loved his family so much and you could see it in his face. But his smile will always be with us. He will be greatly missed but knowing a little of him is in each of his grandkids will remind the family of him. Hugs and love from Phil, Rosanna, Chris and Nicole.
Wayne and I are so very saddened by Bill's passing. We are holding tightly & very dearly to the many memories he left us, Craig and Laura.
I remember the evening Bill called asking Wayne to assist him coaching select soccer. We had no idea who the man at the other end of the line was...face, character, reputation...only voice & proposal.
Our boys were maybe 10 & 11 yrs. old, or thereabout. The decision to move Craig up from Herndon's house league weighed upon us for probably a week. We wanted not to push/pressure our son but do what was in his best interest. Could Wayne and Bill work well together? Would Wayne be up to the task? Could we financially manage the fees, clothing and travel?
After much discussion, we decided to take the leap of faith that would impact both our families. Ultimately, great things came from it, both field & friendships. God bless the man who enriched so many lives. He certainly touched ours.

So very sorry to hear about Bill's passing. What a great guy he was. I will always remember our trips, where you guys were nice to give me a ride so I would not have to drive alone to Lynchburg College/University to watch the soccer games when Kacey and Erin played and you guys were so gracious to open your home to several LC soccer parties when the team was playing in the area. I will truly miss him." Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Hold on to your sweet memories. It has been my pleasure to have know Bill.

I fondly remember when cousin Bill and his parents would come to visit my grand parents farm. His visit always meant my brother and I would get to do things we ordinarily did not get to try. When he was visiting granddad got out the ice cream maker and we all got to turn the crank to make ice cream. Our family rarely went out to Lake Shawnee, but when Bill was here, we often went. He is well remembered by all who knew him. My thoughts go out to Carolyn, Danny, and Erin.
