I feel fortunate to have spent some time with Mike and witnessed his humor, kindness, generosity and love for family. I will fondly recall our tractor ride around the vineyard, surveying the wetlands and the flora and fauna which made him so happy. I was so sorry to learn about Mike's recent passing. He was a true gentleman and staunch family man. Don't know if you remember me, we suffered thru Spanish classes way back in '87. I was also a former police officer, from NYC, which enabled Mike and me to share a bit of "blue-based" comraderie and war stories. I read about his life after the agency and see that he kept his zest for life, family and friends.
