We were very saddened to learn of the passing of your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

We have known her since we were young children growing up in the Ashburn area, and have fond memories of her teaching us in the community/church-wide vacation bible schools held each summer. She was a dear, sweet lady and was respected by everyone who knew her.

While the Ashburn community has lost another one of their great icons, we can take comfort in the fact that she is now reunited in heaven with her beloved family members who have gone on before her.

Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this time. It is our sincere prayer that God will comfort you and give you strength in the days ahead.

I grew up in Ashburn, Va and knew Mrs. Solomon since I was a very young child. She was my Vacation Bible School teacher when I was 7 or 8 years old along with Mrs. Marie Byrne. I loved both of these ladies but I formed a special bond with Mrs. Solomon that has lasted for many many years. Whenever I saw her I always reminded her how special she was to me.

I just learned this afternoon of her passing. I was was shocked. I loved her so very much.

My deepest sympathy to the family. May God Bless Each Of You Is My Prayer.

I met Nancy during a reorganizing of the Postal Service in 1993 when I was offered the job as Postmaster of Ashburn. When we introduced ourselves she was quick to mention that this was a working Postmaster job and I wouldn't be needing the suit or the briefcase. Nancy wasn't shy about giving advice and I can't think of a time when it wasn't spot on. I was Postmaster for approximately 13 years there and it took us all of about 2 days to become good friends. Over the years we were able to stay in touch through phone conversations about family and of course the Post Office. Amazing lady in every way who loved her family and through the years treated me like family. Rest in Peace, you are loved, missed, and will always be remembered.

She took care of me & loved me & helped me with all my homework from Mrs. Leigh.I made the best grades I ever made, she always made my favorite foods if she knew I would be eating.She always thought of others first & I loved her.She has earned her rest & a place in Heaven with Mason(Brother), Eddie & her two babies, enjoy Paradise.
