Fran, I remember when you met Bob. I remember, as a little girl who held her Auntie Fran in the highest regard, just how smitten you both were. Bob was a true gentleman, a calming presence. I know we have lost touch over the years, due to distance and busy lives, but I have vivid memories of your wedding, and still look often at the pictures. I was the proudest flower girl ever, for two of the greatest people I knew. I am truly sorry for your loss, but I know he will be watching over his family. Dear Fran, Lynn, Chris : Please accept our sincere condolences on Bob’s passing,( Louie
informed us late this afternoon). Although I only met Bob several times he impressed me with his friendliness and humility and was a person I would liked to have known better.
Unfortunately, the last time I spoke with Bob, yourself and Lynn was at Sharon’s funeral( I never had the honor of meeting Chris). It might be a good time to recall the words of St. Francis De Sales:
“Do not fear what may happen tomorrow.
The same loving Father who cares for you today,will care for you tomorrow and every day.
Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings.”

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing, and my heart goes out to all of you at this most difficult time.
Bob was truly an exceptional man, with an amazing love for his family. He was very kind, considerate, and dedicated to you- those who were most precious to him.
I fondly remember your summer trips to Nova Scotia -and all the laughs we had together! I will never forget my visit with you in Virginia...Bob gave a fantastic tour of D.C, so proud of his country. What times to remember!
Bob will be in my prayers- I know he is at peace now because he knows you are taking care of each other, as he set this example throughout your lives together.
I wish we could be there for you- in person- at this painful time.

We will always remember your many vacations to Nova Scotia, Bob and his Bestman staying at our home in N.S. prior to His marriage to sister Fran, sharing your first Christmas with us, many visit to our home for family gatherings, dinner parties, birthdays, Nana's 95th Birthday, etc. our trip to Cape Breton with the children, Fran saying her long good byes to her mother and sister. Bob's patience was exemplary.
"We like to believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength"
Bob was a great Hushand, a great Dad and a friend to all.
