I have many great memories of going to Grandma's as a little girl. I remember everyone making a dish to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. I remember putting Christmas ornaments up, and hearing the stories of where each came from and what they represented. I remember all my aunts and uncles relaxing on the patio, and I remember hunting Easter eggs with my sister, brother, and cousins in the back yard. Most of all I remember Grandma making a beautiful home in which she brought her family together time after time. She was often working so hard to make everything picture perfect, and while I may not have needed perfection as a little girl, I cannot imagine a childhood without the sense of connection, tradition, and family that she provided through her loving work.
