Christine Rausch, 90
Christine Baker Rausch was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on June 1, 1924. She entered Heaven’s gates on July 25th, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Lester Parks Baker and the late Cora Rice Baker
A consummate mother, grandmother, homemaker, devoted Christian and wife, Christine was an excellent cook and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a very social person and would light up a room with her presence; no one was a stranger to Christine. She was also a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Redskins on TV.
Christine was pre-deceased by her first husband, Edwin Yates Wilson, her second husband of 19 years Ralph Hamilton Hall Jr, and her third husband of 16 years, Arthur Raymond Rausch, and her sister, Ruby Thomas a few months ago. She is survived by daughters Janet Ross Thomas of Hagerstown, MD, Christine Melanie Boone of Montpelier, VA, Leslie Colleen Stoner of Hedgesville, MD, Lori Scott Hefner of Hedgesville and MD, Diane E. Rausch of Mattoon, IL, and sons, Douglas A. Rausch of Gaithersburg, MD, and David Evans Rausch of Centreville, MD; brother, John Thomas Baker, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Her daughters, Lori Heffner and Melanie Boone and many caregivers from Home Instead and My Potential At Home lovingly cared for her the last few years of her life. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Christine their greatest gratitude.
A memorial service will be held at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA, on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 12 noon.
Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
