I just found out about Dave's passing and was profoundly surprised. We are first cousins and spent a lot of our youth together, until we entered the service. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed.##imported-begin##Dan Childers##imported-end##
I met Dave in 9th grade at Samuel Ogle Jr High School in Bowie, Md--We went thru high school together, worked together, got drunk together, raised Hell together--even chased after the same girl together....I am saddened by his passing. I am also very sorry I had not heard about his passing sooner. It with great sadness that I learned of Dave's passing. I first met Dave in 1981 when I joined SWIFT. Through the years Dave and I fostered a close relationship as we worked together in many challenges. On a personal note, Dave and I enjoyed many joyous times together and he sincerely cared for my family. After leaving SWIFT in 2002, I moved away to Tennessee we lost track of each other. I will always count Dave as a true friend.. To his children, I would encourage you to take great hope that his faith has provided him with a final victory.
