Joseph Francis McMurrer passed away on November 29, 2022 in Leesburg, Virginia after a battle with cancer. He was 92 years old. Joe is survived by his wife of 73 years, Margaret Louise (Peggy), his three children, Nancy Darr Quinn Read Obituary
Your Dad was quite a character. He and your Mom visited our thrift shop regularly until most recently and he was always so patient with her. He would quote just how long they had been married and then with that twinkly gleam he would announce that he was" still trying her out"! We would all get a good laugh. He was a kind and dear man. The volunteers at our shop Twice Is Nice will miss him. On behalf of all of us, please accept my sincere condolences especially to your Mom.
I had the pleasure of caring for Joe during a hospital stay. We talked about police, school buses, and nursing and how special it is too lock age our communities in our own ways. He was so kind and a delight to talk to. I am happy his body is at peace but sorry your family is without him in this world anymore. I hope you all see those very best parts of Joe in each other.
