I first met Peggy (referred to as “Paul’s mom”) approximately forty years ago when I was employed by Paul at “A Touch of Tradition,” which later became American Decorating Center. During one of the company's meetings, Peggy was preparing and serving food—a role she regularly fulfilled as a reflection of her commitment to caring for others, especially her family, and particularly her children, Paul and Tammy. The last occasion I saw Peggy was at Paul’s annual Christmas party in December, where she once again played a central role in providing hospitality to others.
If asked about her priorities, Peggy would undoubtedly highlight her love and faith in Jesus Christ, values she expressed openly. Her dedication to these beliefs was evident throughout her life. While her passing is cause for sorrow and reflection, it also offers an opportunity to remember and celebrate the positive impact she had on those around her.

Peggy was practically my second grandmother, always insisting I called her Gigi. I moved into our neighborhood around eight or nine years back, completely thrown into the deep end with such a new environment. I remember me and my father walked across our yard to go "meet the neighbors, Peggy and Sam". She opened the door with such a heartwarming smile, offering to make friendship bracelets with my eight-year-old self. This was just the start of a beautiful bond between her and I. Throughout our time as neighbors, I used to beg my parents to let me walk over to Peggy's to "do crafts". She was such a special person in my life, always making the time to little things for me. Every Halloween, I would run over to her house first, and she would always sneak the big candy bars into my trick-or-treat pillowcase she had gifted me a previous year. I don't know if she ever knew what a significant impact she had on my life, an impact I took for granted until I could no longer have it. In her kitchen, "Sophie's Sweet 16!!" is still written on her calendar, along with my sibling's upcoming birthdays. She was one of the only people that knew just how much I loved her baked goods and homemade meals, always offering me some whenever I came over, an offer I never refused. I miss her so so much, even though I know she's in a better place, finally being able to hand-sew her projects like she always wished she could. I know when it's my turn to see my Father in Heaven, she'll be there waiting with a warm tray of cookies or a delicious casserole, saying "Sophie! I missed you, how was your Paris trip you never got to tell me about?" Peggy will always hold a special place in my heart, along with the memories she helped create, memories I'll pass down to my children in the future. I love you and will always miss you Gigi.
Peggy was my second Mother at times. With Paul being one of my closest friends for over 45 years there were numerous times we would just stop over to her lifetime home. She was always welcoming and her home warm and inviting with something usually baking (I was fed well with good home cooked meals many times, including homemade chocolate at Christmas.). If not at her home, she would make food for one of the many family events. Over the decades and through the kitchen window she saw many changes. It was like the shop window in H.G. Wells movie "The Time Machine"; In her view she saw woods beyond a large yard (sometimes with deer) to an eventual change of large new commercial and residential developments.
I knew her to be kind and caring. In one of my fondest memories during a very difficult time in my families life she brought enjoyment and a ray of light by creating a beautiful classic sky-blue dress with puffed sleeves and a white pinafore apron for my young daughter, Brittany. It was a complete surprise for Halloween; A perfect replica of the dress worn by Alice in Alice and Wonderland. My daughter and I had a Wonderfull time walking our neighborhood during trick-or-treat.
I will always remember her with kindness and a smile. She will be missed. I am sure she will be at the pearly gates with a welcome and apple pie when its my turn.
