Margaret Anne Sams' Obituary
Margaret “Peggy” Anne Sams, 82 of Ashburn, Virginia passed away on September 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 27, 1943, in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Stella and Happy Jack Johnson.
Peggy is survived by her loving family including her children, Son, Paul Davis and Daughter, Tammy Kennedy. Her Great Grandchildren, Colby Kennedy, Summer Fox (Noah Fox), Ashley Kennedy, Kaley Kennedy, Logan Rowe, Ethan Rowe, and one Great Great-Grandson Arthur Fox.
She was preceded in death by her loving Husband Manuel Sams and her Grandson, Rusty Kennedy.
Our Mother was a phenomenal blessing. As a talented cosmetologist in her younger years, Peggy went on to open a costume shop where she meticulously crafted almost every single costume. If someone desired a wedding cake, she would lovingly make it from scratch. Peggy also owned a drapery business, sewing everything with precision. All her Great Grandchildren were inspired to learn either sewing or cooking, as well as various crafts. Whenever friends visited, they inevitably learned something new, whether a craft or how to prepare one of her delicious homemade meals.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Almost Heaven Retreat. 1716 Kabletown Road Charlestown, WV 25414.
She will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
