I was a student of Mrs. Echols at Broad Run HS. She was a very nice lady and had a great sense of humor, which she needed to handle some of her mischief makers (me). I am sorry to hear of her passing. Reading about her brought back fond memories.
Like many during Broad Run's first years, I had Mrs. Echols for Home Ec. She was a wonderful teacher and wonderful lady. I hope all 91 years of her life were as excellent to her as she was during them.
I, like so many others, remember Mrs. Echols from Home Ec in the Loudoun County school system. I never saw her that she didn't have that sweet, endearing and calming smile. She was a credit to the teaching profession as she touched many a soul and taught many the basics of home economics. The world was a better place because of her gentle, caring way. May your family find peace because of the positive influence she had on so many students.
I had Mrs Echols as my Home Ec teacher at BRHS in Ashburn VA... She was a very sweet and kind lady... She will be missed.... Thoughts and prayers to the family at this most difficult time....
Mrs. Echols was my Home Ec teacher at Broad Run when I was in the 8th grade in 1969.. I remember her as being a very sweet and extremely patient teacher and I have very fond memories of her.

I had Mrs, Echols for Home Economics at Broad Run HS in 1972. She was so kind and taught me so much about cooking. I still use many of her recipes! May God comfort her family and may they know that this special woman touched many, many lives. I'm blessed to have been one of them.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Echols. She was my Home Ec teacher. Let me tell you there is definitely a very special place in heaven for this wonderful lady. We were not the easiest bunch of kids to teach but she made it so much fun. God Bless her and her family.
