OBITUARY INFORMATION
ADDISON LEROY SAMPSON, SR., 74, of Aldie, Virginia since 1960 died on Tuesday, October 18th 2011 at his home. Mr. Sampson was born on December 25, 1936 to the late Richard E. and Betty M. Coates Sampson. He grew up in Falls Church, VA and graduated from Luther Jackson High School. After furthering his education at St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, VA he pursued a career with the U.S. Postal Service. He served as a letter carrier for over 30 years at the Mosby Branch in Falls Church, and he retired in 1991. Since his retirement he has been working with Whitener and Jackson Construction.
Mr. Sampson is survived by his beloved children: Margaret S. Smith, Betty George (DeVon) Addison Leroy Sampson, Jr. and the mother of his children: Joan T. Sampson. He is also survived by his sister Peggy Harris (Casper), his brother Richard Sampson (Nancy), God Mother Phyllis O’Neil, seven grandchildren, a great grandchild and one on the way as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Chantilly Baptist Church, 14312 Chantilly Baptist Lane in Chantilly, Virginia from 10:00am until the time of services at 12:00pm with Rev. Jerry Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
