Way late learning of dear Ahto's passing. He was a great engineer, patient and always willing to share his deep knowledge of power technology and techniques.
His friends called him "Coach" in tribute to the many, many young players in the soccer teams he instructed. Ahto always emphasized the basics in coaching, technical issues, and life.
A kind and humble man who survived the war, DP camps, and immigrating to America,
Ahto was a superb inspiration, and I was very privileged to have known him well.

I will cherish his memory all of my days.

I will always remember him for his great knowledge and kind help. I was new to the Electrical Engineering Division and he helped me several times.

When we would have dinner at gram and paps home on Sundays,uncle Ahto would always go out to the garden and grab a big ol tomato and eat the hole thing, some how watching him, I love a tomato off the vine also. I will remember this forever.
