My son William and I are so saddened and devastated to hear this news. We only heard yesterday while watching trains. We met Alan and James while photographing trains a few years ago. My son and James hit it off right away over their shared interest in trains. If anyone can contact the family my son would like to talk to James. Thoughts and prayers to the family. I worked with Alan for the past 10 years and always admired his ability to smile and persevere through tough times. He taught me to always show up, not to sweat the small stuff, and to find joy in the simple things in life. My deepest sympathy to the Kulaga family, my heart is with you.
