Albert Myer Keyes' Obituary
Mr. Albert Myer Keyes, age 80 of Leesburg, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 surrounded by loved ones.
Albert was born on Tuesday, June 2, 1931 in Herndon, VA. He was the son of the late John Luther Keyes and the late Florence French Bell.
Sergeant Keyes served his country in the United States Air Force from 1950 until 1954 and was a Veteran of Korea.
Mr. Keyes was a dedicated Sheriff’s Deputy serving the County of Loudoun for 34 years, retiring as a Major. He will be remembered as an honorable man, who was well loved, a good provider and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Keyes was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, the late Martha Keyes, in 2010, and his only sister, Glenda K. Dawson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Leslie and son-in-law: Steve Ashby of Leesburg, VA and Linda Dizerega of Leesburg, VA; 4 grandchildren, Taylor & Josh Ashby, Zachary, & Laurel Dizerega; 5 great grandchildren, Aidan & Tatiana Smith, & Alexis, Kadance, and Riley Dizerega.
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 10 to 11 am, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. The funeral service will begin at 11 am, with Chaplain Charles Grant officiating. Graveside services and Interment with military honors will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
