Mrs. Slaton was born on June 11, 1923 in Richfield, Utah. She was a daughter of the late Hanmer M. and Elvira (Jensen) Christensen. She spent her youthful years in Beaver, Utah and its surrounding mountains, where her father was the forest ranger. She met the love of her life in 1943 and they married a month and eleven days later. She spent 62 wonderful years as the wife of the late Col. Howard Wesley Slaton (USAF). She loved their travel adventures and enjoyed living in many places in the U.S. as well as England, Cuba, and Uruguay. They moved 26 times and she always created a beautiful and loving home. Their final move together brought them to Potomac, MD where they lived for 40 years. Mrs. Slaton was very devoted to her family and friends. She was a gracious, kind lady with a great sense of humor and a charming smile. Our beloved mother, sister, "Girlie," Gram and friend will be missed by all.
