Alex Paul Madarasz, Jr

Alex Paul Madarasz, Jr., 58 of Aldie, Virginia passed on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Alex was born on Tuesday, February 25, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a son of the late Alex Madarasz and the late Mary Anne Hennessey Madarasz. Alex graduated from Great Valley High School in 1976 where he was the captain of the Varsity soccer team and an outstanding student who was awarded the Harvard Prize Book Award as a Senior. He was appointed and attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis from 1976 to 1978 where he studied Systems Engineering. It was a special time for him that he carried until his final day. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and he earned his MS from George Washington University. Alex started his career with AAI Corporation where he used his amazing intellectual gifts to design military training and simulation systems for the US Navy. In 1988, he moved to L-3 where he served as a Principal Systems Engineer; he also worked for the Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics. In 2008, he started his own company WITEE (Whatever It Takes) Solutions LLC, providing systems, software engineering services, and embedded controllers for RF systems. Alex had a fascination with diet and whole food health in his final years, and was an avid amateur meteorologist who could be counted on to have an up-to-date and accurate forecast at a moments notice. Aside from electronics he loved reading, learning, and sports, especially soccer and football. He followed the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies and the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. He’ll be remembered for his intellect, work ethic and especially for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He leaves his family to cherish his memory including his sisters, Anne Madarasz (Tom Miller) of Pittsburgh, PA, Ellen Madarasz of Newtown Square, PA, Mary Beth DeLena (Robert)of Sudbury, MA, his brother, John Madarasz (Libby) of Exton, PA; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Beth and Patrick Miller, Ryan & Abigail DeLena, and Jay & Claire Madarasz. Services and interment will be held privately by the family in PA., but a Memorial gathering and celebration will be announced at a later date for friends and family to remember Alex and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alex’s name to the Malvern Public Library in honor of his loving Mother who was a devoted Librarian there.
