ALFRED LEE POLLARD's Obituary
ALFRED LEE POLLARD, 75 of Sterling, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center in Culpeper, Virginia.
Born on Saturday, August 13, 1949 in Leesburg, Virginia to the late Raymond and Grace Pollard.
He was kind, generous, and lived vicariously through his children and grandchildren. He loved tech and seeing how it continued to evolve games and computers. He proudly served our country in the US Army for 20 years as an intelligence officer. As a military man he instilled discipline and structure in his children and taught them the necessary skills to excel in life even if they didn’t appreciate it at the time. He was a great listener and would always make time to make sure you were heard, even if he wasn’t interested in the topic. He was your friend but make no mistake that he was a parent first and would tan your hide if you crossed the line.
Alfred is survived by his loving family including his son, Jason Pollard daughter, Monica Carness sister, Carrie Corum, his brothers Anthony Pollard and Raymond Pollard Jr, his grandchildren Geena Lewis, Bea Lewis, Mario Pollard, Alyssa Pollard, and Dominic Pollard, along with many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Pollard, his grandson Trey Lewis, his sisters Carolena Townsend, Elsie Menefee and Stella Pollard, and parents, Raymond and Grace Pollard.
In Lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to National Coalition for Homeless Veterans in Alfred’s honor.
