Alison Jayne Wray's Obituary
Alison Jayne Wray, 63, of Leesburg, Virginia died on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at her home in Leesburg, Virginia.
She was born in Wigton, England on Tuesday, September 8th, 1959, the daughter of the late Ronald Benstead and Dorothy Carrick Benstead. She was the second youngest of six children; Roger (deceased), Steven, Maggie, Trevor, and Michael (deceased).
A loving mother and homemaker, Alison dedicated her life to helping others and fostering animals. Throughout her life she fostered hundreds of dogs with various local animal rescues and ensured the Wray household was always filled with love and butterfly cupcakes. Everyone has a story about Alison’s unequivocal kindness and how she helped them most in a time of need.
She will be greatly missed by her family, including her four children, who she fiercely loved and protected, Joshua, Jadine, Harrison, and Sydney and her two dogs Piper and Miley.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating her life that will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2023, at 1 PM ET at Cornerstone Chapel (650 Battlefield Pkwy SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175), followed by a reception at Bear’s Chase Brewing (33665 Bear Chase Ln, Bluemont, VA 20135) from 3 to 6 PM ET.
