Amanda Christine Simms' Obituary
Ms. Amanda Christine (Chrissy) Simms departed this life on the 10th of October, 2016. She was born April 22, 1948, on White’s Farm in Leesburg, Virginia, to her late parents Mable Louise Parker Simms and William “Pete” Simms.
An alumni of Douglas High School, Chrissy graduated in 1968. She worked as a domestic for many years and as a night watch person for Superior Paving for approximately 15 years.
Often with her sisters, her favorite things to do were traveling across the U.S. to bowling tournaments, playing Bingo, and taking trips to Atlantic City.
Chrissy leaves to mourn her passing, a brother, Steven M. Simms of Charlestown, WV, and three sisters, Elizabeth Louise Stewart and Janice Matilda Simms, and Cheryl Linden Bowers, all of Sterling, VA; one brother-in-law, Arthur Lee Stewart of Sterling, VA; two nieces, Stephanie Marlowe Flood of Fayetteville, NC and Ellen Nyree Stewart of Sterling, VA, a nephew, William Craig Marlowe, also of Sterling; two great nieces, Whitney Samantha Dunton of Herndon, VA and Nina Marie Stewart of Sterling, VA. She will be missed by many other family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 6-8pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
