Although our time together was short you made a long impression on my heart. Tell granddaddy I love him. Rest Amy
Carla:
Please share my sympathy with your family members. I remember your Mom as a teacher in LCPS and the wonderful contribution that she made to the lives of her students. I have seen those same traits in you in your work with MSAAC and the community. Your character is a living tribute to your Mom!
Warmly,
Sharon Ackerman
Carla,
Sending my deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your mother. I often reminisce about the many years of us being next door neighbors. You were like my little sister and your mom was like a mom to me. She was also my 4th grade teacher.
Love,
Charles Lamonte Pollard
Dearest Carla, Michael and Larry,
Your Mom was one of my dearest friends. I have so many wonderful memories of our teaching days together at Catoctin. That was a very special time. My children and grandchildren affectionately called her "Aunt Amy" and loved going to your home to visit her. So many good memories but my favorite is when my son Dustin was just a little guy and we were visiting. We were in the living room and he came in from the kitchen eating a fried chicken leg. He had gotten it out the fridge. Your Mom just laughed and said, "Well, I can't tell him to put it back," My grandkids loved going every Christmas to visit and have their annual picture taken with Aunt Amy. The kids loved going to visit. Your Mom always made them feel so welcome and special and was always interested in their school careers and activities. Our family will dearly miss your beloved Mom. Prayers and love to all of you.
Love,
Sissy Grimm
Carla, your Mother was one of my toughest and favorite teachers. She believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Prayers of comfort for you during this difficult time.
Hugs,
Cindy "Jackson" Hamilton
