Andreau Lea Simpson's Obituary
Andreau Lea Simpson, 77, of Ashburn, VA, formerly of Titusville. PA, passed on Thursday, January 31,
2019.
Born Thursday, July 24, 1941 in Brookville, PA, she was a daughter of the late William Simpson and the late Virginia Wyant Simpson of Titusville, PA. She was baptized and a member of First Methodist Church in Titusville, PA.
Andreau graduated from Titusville H.S. in 1959. After high school she entered into the nursing program at The Presbyterian Hospital School of nursing in Pittsburgh, PA. Andreau served in the United States Airforce for 6 years earning the rank of Captain and as a flight nurse for 3 years during the Vietnam era. She then was assigned to Travis AFB for 3 years. After her discharge from the AF, she earned her BS degree in nursing from George Mason University and continued her career. She retired from Inova Fairfax Hospital located in Northern VA.
Andreau’s greatest love was to spend time with her dogs. She also enjoyed golfing and women’s basketball.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory including her sister, Mona Murray, nephew Scott Murray and wife Jessica, of Warren, OH, great nephews, Nathan and McCoy, and close longtime friends Carolyn, Cheryl, Jackie, Pam and Dee. She is also survived by her loving dog, Abby. Other family includes: Aunt and Uncle Andrew and Doris Wyant and family of Lima, OH, cousin Roxie Phillips and family of Garland, PA, Aunt Louella Wyant and family of Warren, OH.
A memorial service to celebrate Andreau’s life will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, VA 20175 with the Rev. Jim Wishmyer officiating.
