Andrew Julius Ellis, 86, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, leaving a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He is survived by his loving children, Veronica Savoy-Osborne, Andrea Moss, and Kara Skeens, as well as his six cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A devoted father and grandfather, Andrew was a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. All who knew him will deeply miss his presence, wisdom, and caring nature.
Born on October 17, 1938, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Andrew was the youngest of six children born to Gladys Burnett and Charlie Ellis. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a deep sense of duty, shaping his life's course.
Andrew proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1977, dedicating 21 years to his country. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service, working for the Federal Government with the Bureau of Prisons from 1977 until his retirement in 2014. With an incredible 57 years of combined service, Andrew exemplified dedication, discipline, and perseverance.
Beyond his professional achievements, Andrew will be remembered for touching countless lives with his generosity, humor, and unwavering support for those he loved.
