Angelo Giangreco's Obituary
A. Andrew Giangreco, 83, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Fairfax, VA died Monday, February 26, 2007, at his home. He was born on June 23, 1923 in Rochester, NY. One of nine children, Andrew was the son of the late Antonio Giangreco and the late Angelina (Contrino) Giangreco both of Polarmo, Sicily.
Mr. Giangreco served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a Purple Heart recipient. After receiving his law degree from George Washington University in Washington DC he went on to further serve his country as a U.S. Asst. Attorney General and practiced law in Alexandria, Va. for 35 years.
Mr. Giangreco is survived by his wife of 55 years Nancy and their four children: Charlene Exline and her daughter Jessica of Charlottesville, Nancylee Jason & husband, Louis, with sons Charles and Joseph of Virginia Beach, Andrew Giangreco and his daughters Rachel and Emily of Plant City, FL, and Melody Woodward with children John Preston and Melinda of Ashburn. Mr. Giangreco’s surviving sister, Jean Wallace and husband John, resides in Fairfax, VA.
Funeral services will be held at St. Theresa''s Catholic Church on St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA at 1:00 PM Friday, March 2, 2007. Graveside services and Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers, to the Capital Hospice.
