Ann Margaret Curley's Obituary
Ann Margaret Clarke Macaluso Curley was born in Jamestown, New York in 1927, grew up in Plattsburgh, NY, lived and worked in Washington, D.C. for 20 years, and died in Lovettsville, VA on September 23, 2016.
Ann graduated from Middlebury College in 1948 and completed a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California (Washington D.C. campus) in 1978. Her professional career included membership on the New York State Planning Board, serving on the Executive Board for the American Society of Public Administration, providing leadership for two chapters of the National League of Women Voters, being co-founder of Mainstream Loudoun and completing two decades of Federal public service as analyst and manager with the Office of Economic Opportunity, Office of Management and Budget, Federal Commission on Paperwork and Department of Transportation. She also worked for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department for several years and was proud to serve as a volunteer in the Clinton White House.
Ann and her second husband Robert (Bob) Curley were married in 1978. They moved from downtown Washington, D.C. to Waterford, VA in 1983 and then to Lovettsville, VA in 1988. She is survived by Bob Curley, along with three children from her first marriage to Vincent Macaluso: Antoinette (Tina) in Denver, CO, Corinne (Cori) in Falls Church, VA and Adam in Reston, VA and four grandchildren.
