Ann Marguerite Feconda's Obituary
Ann M. Feconda, 95, of Lansdowne, Virginia, formerly of Springfield IL, Harrisburg PA, Washington PA and Canonsburg PA died peacefully at 2:28 p.m., on March 19, 2016, at Oak Terrace HealthCare Center in Springfield, Illinois.
Ann was born on June 19, 1920 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank and Julianna Fetcko. She was the only daughter along with eight brothers all of whom preceded her in death.
She married Joseph A. Feconda on December 23, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn F. Catalano on March 26, 1990.
Ann is survived by her sons Joseph (spouse Karan Grinchunas) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Robert (spouse Wendy Behm) of Leesburg, Virginia; and daughter Patricia Rodgers (spouse Steve) of Springfield, Illinois. Grandchildren Marisa Pastrovich (spouse Brad) of Litchfield, Illinois; Robby Feconda and Heather Feconda of Leesburg, Virginia. Great grandchildren Tucker Pastrovich and Tessa Pastrovich of Litchfield, Illinois.
Ann dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she instilled her Christian beliefs into her children's lives and as such her family is at peace knowing she has been reunited with her husband and daughter in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ann was an amazing cook and family and friends reaped the benefits of her Italian cooking and baking. Many of her recipes have been passed on to her children and grandchildren so the traditions will continue for generations.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, VA 20175 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held privately by the family. This will be followed with a celebration of Ann’s life at the home of Robert Feconda/Wendy Behm in Leesburg starting at approximately 3:30 p.m. Traditional Italian foods and desserts associated with Ann’s life will be served in her memory.
