Ann T. Moore's Obituary
Ann T. Moore, 96, of Potomac Falls, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
She was born on April 24, 1920 in San Angelo, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Myrtle Thomson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Elwood Moore.
She is survived by her sons Harold Elwood Moore, Jr., his wife Stephanie and Thaddeus Moore and his wife Ellen, her six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moore was an active volunteer with many organizations including, Meridian House in WDC, the Christ church gift shop as a head buyer, Loudoun Memorial Hospital gift shop. She was a major donor and docent for Dodona Manor- home of George C Marshall in Leesburg.
She also worked with the head start program in some of Loudoun’s elementary schools.
She won volunteer of the year for Loudoun County in 2007 at age 87!!
She was an amazing woman, an accomplished sculptor, lover of books, art, poetry, and opera.
Graveside services and interment are presently pending with Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church of Alexandria, The Save the Bay Foundation, or the Salvation Army.
