Anna Grimes' Obituary
Anna Geneva (McNealy) Grimes, 88, a resident of Madison House, in Leesburg, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Ashburn. Born on November 10, 1918 in Ryan, VA. She was a daughter of the late Maurice B. McNealy and the late Estelle (Croson) McNealy. Anna was a graduate of Ashburn High School in 1936.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lester Grimes in 1974. Mr. Grimes was the co-owner of Grimes & Simpson TV''s in Leesburg in the 1960''s. Mrs. Grimes was a Teachers Aid. She worked for Parkview High School and Broad Run Annex. She also spent a lot of time doing volunteer work with the Ashburn Vol. Fire & Rescue Ladies Auxiliary and Mt. Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her caregivers Rosalyn & John Simpson of Ashburn, VA.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be held at Leesburg Union Cemetery at 11:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2007. Those who wish to attend may gather at the funeral home at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Grime’s memory to the Mt. Hope Baptist, Loudoun County Vol. Rescue Squad, PO 1178, Leesburg, VA 20177 or to the VFW.
