Anna Iola Juarez's Obituary
ANNA IOLA JUAREZ, 86, a resident of Falcons Landing Retirement Center, Potomac Falls, VA since 1998 died on Wednesday September 5, 2006 at the Johnson Center in Potomac Falls.
Mrs. Juarez is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years Captain Robert Juarez USN Ret. of Potomac Falls, VA. Devoted mother of Juanita Juarez (William) Taylor of Richfield, Ohio and Lana Juarez (Ronnie) Clifford of Blacksburg, VA. Two brothers also survive her: Alfred (Phyllis) Stoops, Wayne (Charlotte) Stoops and a host of other relatives and friends. One brother Samuel predeceased her.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Friday September 22, 2006 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the administration building on the grounds of the Cemetery by 10:30am. A memorial service will be held following the graveside at 2:00pm in the Falcons Landing Chapel, Falcons Landing Cr. Potomac Falls, VA with a reception afterwards.
Mrs. Juarez was born March 14, 1920 in Cooksville, Illinois to the late Luke and Alma Sutter Stoops. Iola was a graduate of Cooksville High School and Illinois State Normal University. She taught High School in Peoria and Villagrove, Illinois. Iola was a Girl Scout Leader, a member and officer in the Officer’s Wives Clubs throughout the United States and overseas. She was a devoted member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Annandale, VA, and was active in the Providence Woman’s Organizations. She was also a Deacon for the church. Iola was a past president of the Pine Ridge Women’s Club of Northern Virginia. She was also active in the Republican Party.
