Anne Turner Camillucci's Obituary
Anne Turner Camillucci, 85, of Leesburg, VA and formerly of McLean, VA passed away peacefully at home with her family after an extended illness.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 32 years, Paul Camillucci.
Anne was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia to George and Mary Turner and was the oldest of five children. She lived all over Canada because her father served in the Canadian military. She moved to the United States after graduation to work for the Canadian Embassy where she met her husband, Paul.
They raised their 3 daughters in McLean, VA in a very loving and supportive environment. Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother, dedicated school and church volunteer, and excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed and excelled at painting, needlepoint, knitting, quilting, and all crafts. She also was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed being a part of her grandchildren’s lives and recognizing and celebrating their talents and achievements.
Anne is survived by her three children, Julia (David) Kerr, Susan (Mike) Bynum, and Alissa (Ben) Miller and had nine grandchildren- Alex, Caroline, Matthew, Jonathan, Scott, Megan, Jack, Lindsay and Kate (deceased).
She is also survived by her two sisters, Beverly Johnson and Judy Temple, her brother, Christopher Turner, 16 nieces and nephews, and many beloved family members and friends. She was pre-deceased by her brother, George Turner.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 10th at 1:30 PM at St. John the Apostle Church in Leesburg, VA. Interment will take place at Columbia Gardens Arlington, VA privately at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory can be made to the Inova Loudoun Hospital Nursing Excellence Scholarship.
