ANNEGRETTA "ANNE" BALSLEV RYAN, 81, of Leisure World in Lansdowne, Virginia since 2005, died on Thursday July 24, 2008 in Lansdowne. She was formerly a resident of Alexandria, Virginia for 36 years. Anne was born May 23, 1927 in Odense, Denmark to the late Carl Johan Jager and Ellen Nebeling . She was educated at the Sorbonne University in France. Anne came to the United States during 1950's____. She worked with the Thomas Cook Travel Agency as the East Coast Regional Manger before retiring in 1991. During her retirement she was an E.F. Aupair Agent. Anne was a loving and dedicated Wife and Mother and a very proud and devoted Grandmother .
Anne is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Gerald Francis Ryan; two daughters: Lynn Kathleen Johnson of Ashburn, VA, Jennifer Anne Turnbull of Farmington, Connecticut; one sister: Birte Kok of Odense, Denmark; seven grandchildren: Ryan, Aric, Krysten, Robert, Cory, Kirstie, Cameron and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA. Interment will be private in St. David’s Episcopal Cemetery, Ashburn, VA.
