Anthony Thomas Michael's Obituary
ANTHONY THOMAS MICHAEL, 81, of Ashburn, Virginia died on March 9th 2010 in Lansdowne, Virginia. Mr. Michael was born on March 31st 1928 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Adele Hernioke Michael. His wife, Elisabeth Lendeckel Michael in 1996 and five siblings also predeceased him. Mr. Michael served his country in the U.S. Army and was a resident of the Washington area since the early 1960’s. He had lived in Adelphi and then Odenton, Maryland before moving to Loudoun County in 2004. Mr. Michael was a Systems Analyst with the Department of Defense at the Pentagon until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Mr. Michael was a quiet man with a good heart and enjoyed classical music, reading and was an avid chess player.
His two children survive him: Dr. Adele Katharina Michael and her husband Travis Ritenour of Ashburn, Thomas Lendeckel Michael and his wife Sharon of Tustin Ranch, CA; a sister: Helen Miller of Clarksburg, WV; a brother: Paul Michael of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren: Grant and Lauren Michael, Christopher and Elisabeth Ritenour and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held at noon on Saturday March 13th 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 21370 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, Virginia. Interment will be held privately.
