Arsen Voda's Obituary
ARSEN VODA, 80, of Brambleton, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at StoneSprings Hospital Center in Dulles, Virginia.
Born Thursday, August 3 , 1944, in Albania, Arsen was the son of the late Spiro Voda and the late Elisavet Nikollo Voda.
Born in 1944, Arsen Voda lived through a world in constant motion—a time of change and transformation, where the tides of history reshaped nations and lives. He witnessed political revolutions and revolutions in thought, technology, and culture, yet through it all, one thing remained steadfast: his unwavering commitment to a life of integrity. A man who sacrificed and gave it all for his family. Arsen's heart was rooted in his love for his family, his commitment to making the world better, and his quiet yet profound legacy of faithfulness. While the world around him shifted, his character stood as a beacon of constancy and hope, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In 2017, he immigrated to the United States to be closer to his family, which brought him great joy in his later years. Arsen cherished his time with his loved ones and built a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering love for those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Vera Kosturi Voda; his sons, Spiro Voda, and Kristo Voda; his daughter, Elisavet Voda-Nika; and six cherished grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, Virginia 22041, with Father Michael Diamond officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA (323 N King St, Leesburg, VA 20176).
Later that day, a luncheon will be held for close family and friends to honor and celebrate Arsen’s life. Kindly RSVP for details.
